At HITACHI ENERGY UK LIMITED, we're seeking a talented Graduate Service Engineer to join our dynamic Grid Automation Team. As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to the advancement of power grid technology and make a meaningful impact in the world of power grids.

This exciting opportunity will be based in Stone, Staffordshire, where you'll be part of a supportive engineering team dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to our customers. As a Graduate Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing technical advice to customers on the effective use of our products and equipment.
  • Commissioning, installing, and testing our products and equipment to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Addressing and resolving complex issues that may arise during the implementation or operation of our products and equipment.
  • Investigating and suggesting new product equipment upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Building and sustaining strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and expectations.
  • Collaborating with the Power Grids Grid Automation Engineering Department to support the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems, communication networks, and protection systems.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, Construction, or Software Engineering.
  • A positive approach to engineering and a willingness to learn and self-develop.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with all levels within the business.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to engage in service repairs, commissioning, and maintenance communication teams.
  • Occasional nationwide travel across the UK and the possibility of offshore training.
