About the Role:This is a key leadership role within our Finance & Governance team, where you will provide business partnering support to the wider organization. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the Accounting function, ensuring that all policies and procedures meet the requirements of relevant legislation and reflect best practice models.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Accounting function, including the preparation and management of financial statements, budgets, and financial performance reporting systems.
- Provide leadership and management in relation to the development of departmental strategy and policies.
- Exercise an important central governance function, promoting and embedding the risk management process.
- Attend and participate in Quarterly Governance Meetings with Senior Management.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of two years' post-qualification practical experience in each of the following areas: preparation or audit of financial statements, management accounting and costing systems, and financial performance reporting systems.
- A minimum of three years' experience of leading, managing, and motivating staff to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Experience of delivering in a business partnering role, supporting a range of internal and external stakeholders, providing support around a range of finance services.
