Senior Finance Professional Required

Abacus Professional Recruitment Ltd is pleased to be working with a £70M budget organisation that supports the UK Health Sector. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Professional to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and manage the Finance function of the Group and associated Companies.
  2. Produce and distribute timely financial management information, including financial data and statistical analysis.
  3. Develop and implement finance policies, procedures, and related documents, ensuring they are reviewed against best practice and employment legislation.
  4. Liaise with Group Auditors in the production of the Statutory Accounts.
  5. Represent the Finance team on business projects and make representations on behalf of the Organisation at meetings with internal and external bodies.
  6. Carry out regular supervision and annual appraisals in line with the Organisation's Policies.

Requirements:

  1. A full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  2. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  3. Proven experience in management accounting, with a minimum of 3 years or more in a supervisory role.
  4. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  5. Demonstrate experience of use of computerised finance packages and experience in excel.

The appointed candidate will join a successful department and lead a team of 12 staff, while reporting in to the Director of Finance. Work pattern is 2 days in office and three days from home.
