We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a skilled BIM technician to become part of our expanding MEP team at Tetra Tech.


Your role will involve supporting the MEP design team in delivering mechanical and electrical design solutions through Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, and various digital outputs.

Adhering to the latest BIM standards and the UK BIM Framework, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of building services projects across diverse sectors, including public and private domains such as defense, commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education, and leisure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the design team in preparing precise and clear drawings, models, and related deliverables.
  • Initiate new Revit and CAD projects utilizing our established templates.
  • Create and modify models and drawings based on engineers' feedback.
  • Develop schematics and connect them to model data.
  • Ensure files are stored in compliance with the company's quality assurance protocols.
  • Conduct model exports, including ifc, nwc, dwfx, dwg, and pdf formats.
  • Incorporate classification data into models.
  • Utilize built-in interference checking tools and other software solutions for quality assurance of models.
  • Collaborate with our BIM Manager to uphold industry and company-specific standards.
  • Guarantee that MEP models meet project BIM requirements.
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Task Team Information Manager on BIM projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD software.
  • Familiarity with MagiCAD, Navisworks, and/or Solibri is advantageous.
  • Background in working within an MEP design team, with a solid understanding of building services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging confidently with design engineers.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage your own tasks effectively.


Security clearance to SC level will be required, enabling work on both MOD and scientific sector projects that necessitate security clearance.
