About the Role

Responsum Global Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Manchester. You'll be an integral part of their successful national Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Division, contributing to diverse projects across various sectors.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers to design electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
  • Develop detailed specifications, drawings, and reports within agreed timelines.
  • Conduct site visits, manage project progress, and address any design variations that arise.
  • Prepare working designs for building services, including low-voltage distribution, lighting, small power, data networks, fire alarms, and access control systems.
  • Perform surveys, investigations, and information searches to establish the basis for design.
  • Utilize drafting software such as Revit and AutoCAD to create accurate designs.
  • Employ Amtech and Dialux/Relux software for lighting calculations and analysis.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Higher National Diploma in Building Services Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the industry, with a focus on electrical design.
  • Proficiency in drafting software (Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Experience using Amtech and Dialux/Relux software.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
