We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Breast Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing specialist advice and support to patients and their families throughout the breast diagnostic and treatment pathway.
The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, providing specialist care and support to patients with breast cancer. This will include working in endocrine clinics, supporting patients through all aspects of their care, and developing the service to implement national cancer guidance.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist advice and support to patients and their families throughout the breast diagnostic and treatment pathway.
- Work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, providing specialist care and support to patients with breast cancer.
- Develop and implement national cancer guidance to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Support the Breast Open Access Follow-Up (OAFU) clinics, Holistic Needs Assessment, and endocrine clinics.
- Registered Nurse Level 1 registered with NMC.
- Breast Specialty qualification at Masters Level or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Teaching & Assessing qualification or equivalent experience.
- Advanced Communication skills.
- Demonstrate evidence of on-going continuous professional development.
- Experience in developing specialised programs of care relevant to the specialty service.
- Significant experience working at Band 6 working at a senior level.
- Experience in developing and training staff.
- Implementation of change to improve services/patient experience.
