Are you a skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to take your nursing skills to the next level in a supportive learning environment? Do you want to learn how to provide exceptional patient care in a friendly referral team? We are seeking an experienced RVN to join our specialist team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
Develop Your Surgical SkillsAs part of our surgical team, you will have the opportunity to refine your surgical skills and take part in complex surgeries and procedures. Our state-of-the-art veterinary hospital provides cutting-edge specialist treatments for cats and dogs, supported by an exceptional rehabilitation and physiotherapy facility.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Monitoring patients undergoing diagnostic imaging, surgery, and/or rechecks.
- Placing arterial lines, central lines, and administering nerve blocks to patients under the supervision of an anaesthetist.
- Monitoring patient anaesthesia and sedation.
We offer a structured 6-week induction mentoring programme combined with a 6-month training period to support all new nurses. You will also have access to IVC Evidensia's 'Introduction to Referral Nursing' training modules, specifically designed for RVNs moving from first opinion to referral.
Our team works varied shifts on a rotational basis, with a 1 in 6 weekend rota and 2 bank holidays per year. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including:
