Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality Fire and Security maintenance services to our clients, ensuring their systems are functioning optimally. This involves attending callouts, fault finding, and completing small work installations to meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend sites and carry out maintenance, breakdown, commissioning, fault finding, and remedial works to ensure all services are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Complete all paperwork comprehensively in line with BS5839 and company policies, including drawing cause and effect charts as required.
  • Proactively feedback on site issues to the service administration team to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Support Small Works and Project Managers to complete installation works on time, ensuring the team's workload is managed effectively.
  • Ensure all services are completed on time and within the month, with zero backlog carried into the next month.
  • Participate in weekly team calls with the Engineering Supervisor to provide feedback and ensure good wellbeing.
  • Be commercially aware and feedback any potential business development information for follow-up by the Small Works/Sales team.
  • Liaise with clients while on site, presenting yourself as an ambassador of Clarkson and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Attend training courses and manufacturer courses to support your role and enhance your skills.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • FIA Units 1-3 (minimum)
  • Knowledge of BS5839
  • IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous fire alarm experience
  • Customer-focused with a strong service ethos
  • Organisation skills
