Engineering Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Projects division at RSK Group, covering various sites throughout the Southern Water region of England. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in assisting in all delivery preparation activities and during the operational life of programmed work.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, and conferring with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate general logistics, procurement, and site activities.
- Engineering and Technical Support
- Collate engineering specifications to generate supply chain enquiries.
- Review and create detailed and accurate Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Undertake site surveys, taking measurements, photos, and assessing access and egress.
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- Resolve technical and logistical issues as they arise, utilizing the team's technical expertise as required.
- Support project needs and coordinate activity between key stakeholders.
- Drive and lead procurement of materials and services.
- Project Monitoring and Control
- Evaluate, organize, and prioritize workload within the schedule.
- Attend client and operational meetings.
- Liaise with clients.
- Regularly report project progress and updates to Senior Management.
- Quality and Safety
- Defect management and close out of defects.
- Supplier management: day-to-day liaison with suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Assessment of supplier quotations.
- Programme Management
- Adherence to programmes and report to management on any discrepancies.
- Tendering: preparation of tenders, passing to management for review and final sign off.
- Health, Safety, and Environment
- Ensure compliance with CDM & HSE regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of previous project engineering experience, ideally within an engineering background. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative. Candidates should hold an engineering degree. Experience of MS Project and/or P6 Primavera planning software is required. A valid UK driver's license is also required.
