About AMS:

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to become a part of our Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The Group FP&A team plays a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering financial strategies and insights, utilized by senior leadership to guide the organization.

This position will provide you with a unique perspective on the overall Group dynamics (both internal and external) and will involve direct participation in the development of analyses and materials for senior executives. You will be joining the team during a dynamic phase as we implement integrated performance management across the organization, ensuring we meet our objectives and enhance our performance.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist role will serve as an excellent foundation for future advancement, and you will be part of a management team and a broader group that is dedicated to fostering your growth. You will collaborate with, and gain exposure to, various teams across the organization, including Investor Relations, Divisional FP&A, Group Finance, and Senior Leadership.

You will report to the Senior FP&A Manager – Group, who oversees Group performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will deliver insightful analyses of performance drivers and variances from plans, synthesizing inputs from various divisions to create a coherent narrative for senior stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing insightful analyses of performance drivers and variances from plans, summarizing inputs from divisions to create a clear narrative for senior stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly performance reports for senior executives, analyzing year-on-year movements and variances against budget/forecast.
  • Supporting the production of ad-hoc performance reports to analyze specific topics as requested by senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Establishing and maintaining master performance management templates for Group and Divisional actuals and in-year forecasting.
  • Updating and maintaining the HFM retrieve datapack, which serves as a key data repository for the broader FP&A team.
  • Conducting ad hoc analytical tasks to support the overall team deliverables.
  • Continuously seeking to enhance management information and data quality.

Qualifications:

  • Professionally qualified Accountant or equivalent.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and teams.
  • Capable of delivering high-quality results within agreed timelines.
  • Proactive, accountable, hands-on, and able to work independently.
  • Analytical, inquisitive, and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in key finance systems, including HFM and VBM.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel.
