Key Responsibilities:

  • Attention to detail producing high-quality designs, reports, and drawings that meet client expectations and comply with current standards and legislation.
  • IT and software skills, proficient with TRANSYT, LINSIG, ARCADY, PICADY, AUTOCAD, and other relevant tools.
  • Project management skills, including establishing client expectations, agreeing on project deliverables and timescales, and ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Planning Regulatory framework and planning and transport policy as applied to development.
  • Work with the transport planning team to regularly review the format, quality, presentation, and production of reports, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a working knowledge of relevant highway standards, including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and the Manual for Streets.
  • Commercially lead selected projects, employing appropriate control measures to ensure accurate fee management and invoicing.
  • Assist in the efficient cost and resource control of projects or aspects of projects within the responsibility of the transport planning team and wider business.
  • Establish and develop a transportation presence in the Winchester office.
