We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team at Kier Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing contract costs from inception to completion, ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Planning and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans to ensure accurate financial projections.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Manage procurement processes, including tender preparation and evaluation, monitoring and controlling project finances, managing variations, and preparing detailed financial reports.
  • Risk and Value Management: Conduct risk, value management, and cost control exercises to identify and mitigate potential risks and optimize project value.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Experience and Qualifications: Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, with a proven track record in cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting.
  • Skills and Abilities: Possess excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with a detail-oriented approach and sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
