Job Description:

Legal Advisor Role:

Pembrook Resourcing is seeking a seasoned Legal Advisor to provide expert guidance to a well-established dealership group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise the business on all legal matters related to agreements, litigation, consumer complaints, planning, and property projects.
  • Manage civil litigation claims from inception to resolution, including drafting responses, proceedings, and particulars of claim/defense.
  • Liaise with lenders to negotiate rates, terms, operating agreements, and consumer complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal obligations, identify and mitigate legal risks, and provide input to internal governance and compliance processes.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, processes, and guidance on legal issues.
  • Prepare and deliver in-house training on legal topics.
  • Liaise with and manage the business's external legal services provider.
  • Complete internal and external reporting requirements, including assisting the compliance and accounts team with FCA returns.

Requirements:

  • Strong legal expertise and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
