About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will work under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake delegated personal care duties for patients/clients, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
  • Provide support for the Registered Nursing staff in maintaining a stable and safe clinical environment.
  • Assist with clinical procedures, including ECGs, cannulation, and wound care.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of mandatory training and other relevant study days
  • Physical skills obtained through practice
  • Demonstrate competence in nursing procedures that require basic understanding of Anatomy & Physiology
  • Prioritise, plan own work
  • Able to act on own initiative (in relation to delivering patient/client care)
  • Supervise less experienced staff
