Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Alexander Steele Recruitment. As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety in our food factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage front-line food safety and quality incidents, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular internal audits of site operations, covering areas such as CCPs, hygiene, documentation, GMP, foreign bodies, glass, PPE, and allergens.
  • Work closely with Operations to investigate customer complaints, providing feedback and implementing relevant corrective actions.
  • Manage micro and nutritional databases, reporting, investigating, escalating, and resolving issues.
  • Carry out routine quality assurance testing and monitoring throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure processes and products comply with agreed specifications regarding quality and food safety.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of BRC and Customers Codes of Practice.
  • Competent in MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Awareness of allergen controls.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene (desirable but not essential).
  • Level 2 HACCP (desirable but not essential).
  • Able to work on own initiative and possess excellent communication skills.
