About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Lead to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Audit team, you will be responsible for leading audits for charitable organisations, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead audits for charitable organisations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including charity leaders and trustees.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities with new audit entities, and inform senior management as appropriate.
  • Act as an ambassador for the firm, participating in office marketing events and promoting the firm's services.
  • Recruit, retain, develop, and motivate employees, including participating in graduate recruitment and ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed on time.
Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
  • Previous experience of managing people and leading audits.
  • Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation, and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
  • Experience of systems controls testing, substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts, and disclosures.
  • Project Management experience.
