About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team at Matchtech Mobility. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Lead Manufacturing Engineer to refine product designs and processes for optimal manufacturability and assembly.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including Manufacturing Bills of Materials, PFMEA, control plans, and Work Instructions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure the seamless integration of new designs into the manufacturing process.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed design models and drawings that align with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Design tooling and assembly fixtures to support efficient production.
  • Optimize component and system designs using functional and analytical tools, including hand calculations and FEA where appropriate.
  • Support the assembly of prototype products to ensure successful product launch.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A degree in mechanical, automotive, aerospace engineering, or equivalent industry experience is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles, focusing on process development, problem-solving, and optimization.
  • Experience with various manufacturing processes and components, including casting, machining, molding, assembly, and fabrications.
  • Proven experience in delivering mechanical systems from concept to production is essential.
  • Excellent CAD skills, including part design, electrical integration, sheet metal design, fixtures, and engineering drawings.
  • Awareness of good engineering practices and analysis methods is required.
  • Experience in automotive, transport, motorsport, or electrical systems, with knowledge of industry standards, safety processes, and certification.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, production methods, and the ability to assess the manufacturability of parts.
