Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Proman, a leading MEP contracting company with a strong presence in the UK and globally.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to the project, from initial calculations to final figures, with a focus on minimizing costs and enhancing value for money while maintaining required standards and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Manage project costs, including initial calculations and final figures, to minimize costs and enhance value for money.
- Track variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability during project progression.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Deal effectively with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
- Carry out full construction take-off, prepare construction cost plans, track costs, and labor efficiency throughout the project.
- Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts, managing them through to final account.
- Prepare timely and accurate assessments/payment certificates/payless notices for subcontractors each month.
- Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in MEP projects.
- Experience in NEC Contracts and industry standards.
- Commercial knowledge and excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferable to have factory or industrial plant experience.
