About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs related to MEP projects from initial calculations to final figures, minimizing costs while achieving required standards and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project costs, minimize costs, and enhance value for money.
- Track variations to the contract affecting costs and profitability.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
- Carry out construction take-off, prepare construction cost plans, track costs, and labor efficiency.
- Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts.
- Prepare timely and accurate assessments, payment certs, and payless notices for sub-contractors.
- Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in MEP projects.
- Experience in NEC Contracts and industry standards.
- Commercial knowledge.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferable to have Factory or Industrial Plant Experience.
