Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our team in North East Essex. As a Senior Podiatrist, you will play a key role in developing your skills in diabetic foot disease and working in our Diabetic Foot MDT clinic.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in diabetic foot disease and biomechanics. You will work closely with our senior podiatrists and diabetes specialist podiatrists to provide high-quality care to patients with diabetic foot disease.

As a Podiatrist in our community clinics, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, including those with diabetic foot, vascular issues, nail surgery, and biomechanics. You will also have access to x-rays, ultrasound, ABPI, and toe pressures, as well as community casting and PGDs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to patients with diabetic foot disease and other podiatric conditions
  • Work closely with our senior podiatrists and diabetes specialist podiatrists to develop your skills and knowledge
  • Participate in our Diabetic Foot MDT clinic, working with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with diabetic foot disease and other podiatric conditions
Person Specification

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Podiatrist who has:

  • Proven experience in podiatry, with a focus on diabetic foot disease and biomechanics
  • Professional knowledge and skills acquired through a combination of formal training, short courses, and experience
  • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of a broad range of assessments, including specialist relevant to the specialist care group
  • Awareness of national guidance relevant to own specialties, including consent issues and other legal frameworks relating to care group
