Job Title: Financial Controller
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic team at Direct Response Employment Services. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of finance, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 5 and oversee all aspects of finance across both UK sites.
- Produce long-term plans, budgets, and forecasts to analyze and map the performance of the company.
- Implement, review, and standardize control procedures across both sites in the UK.
- Produce all weekly, monthly, and annual management and financial reporting, including year-end statutory accounts.
- Ensure that accounting records and financial control procedures meet all internal, group, and external audit requirements.
- Monitor cash flow and currency requirements for the company's UK sites and provide cash flow forecasting as needed.
- Monitor and implement control systems and procedures to reduce spend and drive budget and forecast targets.
- Monitor and analyze cost performance and KPIs versus budget and standards.
Candidate Profile:
- Professional approach and ability to cope with changes to workload and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexible and can-do attitude with a good sense of humor.
- Strong technical accounting skills and previous experience.
- Qualified or Part-Qualified with a recognized professional accounting body (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE accompanied by a good general standard of education.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain financial information to commercial, operational, and non-finance staff.
- Experience of credit and transactional management, prioritizing, and organizing a large workload.
- Experience of working in a FMCG manufacturing environment, with 24/7 activity an advantage.
- Good general understanding of IT systems and software, with proficiency in MS Excel.
