BAM Construct & Ventures UK is seeking a skilled Assistant Catering Contracts Manager to join our team at Elmwood House, Bridgwater. This is a 3-month fixed-term contract that offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of school meals in Somerset and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues to deliver exceptional catering services. With a focus on sustainability, innovation, and customer satisfaction, this role requires a craft-trained chef with experience in high-volume catering management, menu planning, and health and safety management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Contracts Manager in the operation and logistics of 6 production kitchens hubs and service delivery operations
  • Developing and implementing catering services that meet the demands of Universal Free School Meals and wider service requirements
  • Recruiting, training, and managing a team of catering staff
  • Managing budgets, menus, and inventory
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
