About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer in Data Engineering to join our team at Hexegic. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in helping our customers build and maintain data applications using proprietary commercial software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop front-end/user-facing applications to ensure seamless data integration and software functionality.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product owners, and other engineers to drive software development practices, including version control and pull request management.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure the rapid prototyping of data-driven projects in line with customer needs.
  • Utilize PySpark for large-scale data pipelines and retrieve data for integration into data processing pipelines.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Python or familiarity with similar languages.
  • Awareness of data engineering principles and practices.
  • A commitment to professional growth, with a training allowance of £5,000 per year to develop your skills.
