Transformative Data Leadership Opportunity
Principality Building Society is embarking on a period of significant transformation, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our data capabilities. As our Head of Data Services, you will be responsible for delivering data strategy, governance, and product development across the organization.
Data Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives.
- Design, implement, and maintain the organization's data infrastructure, including data warehouses, lakes, and cloud-based platforms.
- Manage data lifecycle processes, including data acquisition, storage, processing, and archiving.
Data Governance:
- Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, compliance, and security.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including GDPR, FCA guidelines, and other financial services regulations.
Data Product Development:
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for data services.
- Collaborate with business units to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and metrics to measure success.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive business performance and innovation.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in managing the lifecycle of data products, from ideation to launch and beyond.
- Proven track record of delivering complex data projects using agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
- In-depth understanding of the regulatory environment within the UK financial services sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team.
