Lead Delivery Manager/Lead Scrum Master

At the Money and Pensions Service, we're seeking an experienced Lead Delivery Manager/Lead Scrum Master to join our team. As a key member of our delivery management community, you'll play a crucial role in leading Agile teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Delivery Managers, providing them with frequent feedback and coaching to support their development needs.
  • Perform a Leadership role in quarterly planning events, Scrum of Scrums, Delivery Management Community of Practice and other forums.
  • Operational Contract Manager for MaPS Digital Delivery Partner contract.
  • Collaborate with Technology colleagues to ensure a seamless transition of products into support and implement quality assurance gates to minimise production incidents.
  • Championing agile delivery across the organisation and leading a community of practice which includes MaPS employees, contractors and 3rd party partners.
  • Ownership of onboarding 3rd party resources into MaPS delivery methodology and ways of working.
  • Managing risks and budgets to deliver the best possible value for money.
Requirements:
  • 4 years+ experience leading Agile teams throughout the product lifecycle (must be certified in Agile).
  • People leadership and line management experience.
  • Demonstrable evidence of planning large Agile deliveries.
  • Strong team leadership and experience with working cross functional teams, including collaborating with peers and other community of practice leads to plan and manage delivery.

We take pride in our flexible approach to work. Most of our roles can operate on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Hybrid working is a voluntary, noncontractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs.
