Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with communication difficulties, language disorders, and social communication challenges. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's specific requirements.
  • Monitoring and evaluating student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
  • Providing training and guidance to staff and families to support students' communication development.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and progress reports.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to contribute to education, health, and care plans (EHCPs).

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, preferably within a school setting.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and career progression.
  • A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with SEND.
