Job Summary
RPS Group is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team. As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing proactive occupational health services to our clients, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and contractual codes of conduct.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational health services to clients, including health surveillance, health screening, and health promotion.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and contractual codes of conduct.
- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to prevent adverse health effects arising from workplace activities.
- Collaborate with clinical management and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of occupational health services.
- Maintain accurate records of clinic visits and ensure efficient recording of all clinic visits at site.
- Provide treatment services, including emergency call-outs.
- Ensure ongoing sign-off of checklists and competencies as agreed with OH Clinical Manager.
- Attend safety walks, 1:1 meetings with Clinical Management and SDM.
- Provide mental health support through effective signposting.
- Support wellbeing programme initiatives and assist with maintenance of staff notice boards.
- Maintain evidence-based clinic practice in line with NMC regulations.
Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel and work outside normal office hours.
- High degree of self-management, self-motivation, open to change, and able to lead by example.
- Comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisation skills to prioritise and manage a flexible workload.
- Current, valid UK driving licence and own transport.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and OH systems.
