Company Overview

A prominent global manufacturing firm is seeking a Finance and Taxation Lead to oversee accounting and internal control functions on a permanent basis.

Role Overview

In this position, you will report to the deputy finance lead and be accountable for the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS102. You will serve as the main liaison for external auditors and manage all facets of the statutory financial statements and year-end audit procedures.

Your responsibilities will include supervising and ensuring the precise execution of financial accounting entries for the monthly closing process, including inter-company alignment.

To promote broader consistency, you will collaborate with the Finance team to conduct monthly reviews of balance sheet reconciliations and take necessary actions, culminating in the management of quarterly consolidation and reporting to the group.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the annual review and action plan for compliance with group-mandated control processes.
  • Collaborating with HR to oversee monthly cost management.
  • Supporting credit control and cash management initiatives.
  • Working alongside SAP key users to maintain, assess, and enhance accounting systems and control processes.
Qualifications and Skills
You should be ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent QBE) with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience.
You will excel in building relationships, managing internal stakeholders with professionalism. A comprehensive and current understanding of accounting policies and procedures is essential.

A structured and pragmatic approach to your responsibilities is necessary, along with the ability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments. A commitment to continuous improvement is also vital.

Familiarity with SAP is considered an advantage.
