Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at University Medical Group. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for providing a full range of medical services to our patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Medical Services: Provide a full range of medical services to our patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Develop Care Plans: Develop care plans for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, in consultation with patients and in line with current practice and disease management protocols.
- Prescribe Medications: Work within current ICB policy for prescribing and compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
- Record Patient Information: Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to an agreed standard.
- Participate in Clinical Auditing: Participate in clinical auditing and data collection to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Support Education and Training: Support undergraduate student training in the surgery and GP registrar training in practice.
- Attend Meetings: Attend team meetings and other clinical meetings as necessary to ensure effective communication and collaboration with colleagues.
- Provide Emergency Cover: Provide short-term emergency cover for unplanned absence of colleagues and provide emergency on-call cover for the practice.
- Provide Extended Hours Cover: Provide extended hours cover as per rota to ensure patients have access to medical services outside of regular hours.
Requirements:
- Highly skilled and experienced Medical Director with a strong background in primary care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong knowledge of current medical practices and protocols.
