Project Engineer Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer of electrical power and distribution equipment, is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the management of site works, ensuring projects are completed within the agreed contract period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers in the management of site works, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's Health and Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Programme work to ensure labour, plant, materials, and sub-contractors are available when required.
  • Maintain project files, including weekly diaries, method statements, delivery tickets, and work sheets.
  • Continuously seek to improve quality and service.
  • Make efficient use of resources, including plant and materials.
  • Liaise with internal staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Occasionally travel to sites, clients, subcontractors, or suppliers, which may require overnight stays.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to HNC or degree level in an engineering subject.
  • Experience working in a project engineering environment.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
  • Able to utilize MS Office suite.
