Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers in the management of site works, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure Health and Safety and Environmental policies are adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and subcontractors.
  • Programme work to ensure that labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors are available when required, minimizing delays and maximizing efficiency.
  • Take off material quantities and expedite material deliveries as required, ensuring that projects are well-stocked and ready for completion.
  • Place all required purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are procured in a timely manner.
  • Maintain project files, including weekly diaries, method statements, delivery tickets, and work sheets, ensuring that all project information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Continually seek to improve all aspects of quality and service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance project outcomes.
  • Make the most efficient use of resources, ensuring that plant and materials are utilized effectively to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
  • Liaise with internal staff, subcontractors, and clients, maintaining open communication channels to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Achieve the highest possible degree of client interface and satisfaction, ensuring that clients are delighted with the quality of service and the outcomes of the project.
  • Occasionally required to travel to sites, clients, subcontractors, or suppliers, which may require staying away overnight.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to HNC or degree level in an engineering subject.
  • Some experience of working in a project engineering environment.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
  • Able to utilize MS Office suite essential.
  • Own transport is essential.
