About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geriatric Medicine Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Elderly Care, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to our elderly patients and contributing to the development of our geriatric medicine services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive geriatric medicine services to our elderly patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex medical conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our patients.
  • Contribute to the development of our geriatric medicine services, including the design and implementation of new care pathways and the evaluation of existing services.
  • Supervise and educate junior medical staff and medical students in geriatric medicine.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our trust's quality strategy.
