We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. As a key member of our Geotechnical Division, you will provide technical services and project management to a variety of projects, leveraging your expertise in tunneling and geotechnical engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare proposals for geotechnical services, including cost estimates and timelines, for civil engineering projects.
- Plan and carry out assignments requiring familiarity with a broad range of geotechnical engineering, utilizing standard procedures and methods.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and third parties to achieve project objectives, managing projects to achieve client requirements.
- Direct field activities, including investigation, monitoring, and testing services on construction projects.
- Carry out analysis of data, including computer analyses, and liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior and intermediate Geotechnical employees.
- Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering, with a post-graduate degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical engineering related to tunneling, preferably in a consulting engineering environment.
- Management of engineering teams, including intermediate and junior professionals and technicians.
- Use of high-level engineering principles, accurately reporting project assignments on schedule.
- Management of multiple projects at one time, with proven business development skills to generate geotechnical services on projects.
- Proven mentoring of junior engineering staff, with ability to exercise diplomacy and tact when interacting with staff, clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Familiarity with standard construction procedures and methodologies, with advanced computer analysis experience.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle.
