About the Role:

Olliver Charles Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality and Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our Senior Leadership team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in driving our strategic initiatives to ensure excellence in quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Quality and Compliance: Develop and implement the department's strategic objectives, ensuring that all operations consistently meet or exceed the standards set by ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Implementation and Maintenance of EN 1090 EXC Class 2: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of this critical standard, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Auditing and Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Accident and Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • CAPA Management: Develop and implement effective CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes to address quality and safety issues.
  • Compliance and Monitoring: Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Equipment Servicing and Inspections: Oversee the maintenance and inspection of equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within the UK to manage and oversee QESH requirements for various projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing sector, with a proven track record in leadership and strategic planning.
  • Knowledge and Qualifications: Comprehensive knowledge of QESH regulations and ISO standards, including detailed familiarity with EN 1090 EXC Class 2. Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate required. Internal Auditor Qualification in either ISO 9001 or ISO 45001 is a must.
  • Additional Requirements: Full UK driving license and Lead Auditors Qualification in ISO 9001 or ISO 45001 highly desirable. Responsible Welding Coordinator qualifications desirable.
