As a Pharmacy Sanitation Specialist, you will be integral to maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our pharmaceutical areas across multiple hospital locations. Your role is vital in ensuring a sterile and organized environment, which is crucial for patient safety and the efficient functioning of our pharmacy services. This position requires regular travel between various hospital sites.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing cleaning tasks to uphold a sanitary pharmacy environment, including but not limited to:
- Disinfecting surfaces, shelves, and work areas
- Managing waste disposal
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Vacuuming
- Cleaning and sanitizing tools and surfaces
- Restocking cleaning materials as necessary
- Complying with infection control guidelines to mitigate the spread of pathogens and ensure patient safety
- Collaborating with pharmacy personnel to organize cleaning schedules and prioritize urgent areas
- Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to the relevant department for timely resolution
- Adhering to all safety regulations and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
