About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at the Met Office. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, including project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate and manage project stakeholders, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring that they are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with the Met Office's project management methodology and standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, with a track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to monitor and report on project progress.
