Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Python Engineer to join our team at DURLSTON PARTNERS. As a Quant Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining a research environment that facilitates diversified systematic strategies in the commodities space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Acquisition and Cleaning: Design and implement data pipelines to acquire and clean data from various sources.
  • Pricing of Fixed Income Financial Instruments: Develop and maintain pricing models for fixed income financial instruments.
  • Building and Maintaining a Research Environment: Design and implement a research environment that facilitates diversified systematic strategies.
  • Order Execution and Interaction with the Firm's Order Management System: Develop and maintain order execution systems that interact with the firm's order management system.
  • Consolidation with Back Office Systems and Risk Systems: Develop and maintain systems that consolidate data with back office systems and risk systems.
  • Creation of Ad-hoc Monitoring and Reporting Tools: Develop and maintain ad-hoc monitoring and reporting tools to support business needs.
  • Work on a Live Trading System: Develop and maintain a live trading system that supports business needs.

Requirements:

  • Mathematics/Computer Science Academic Background: A strong academic background in mathematics or computer science.
  • 3-5 Years of Experience with Python: 3-5 years of experience with Python, including writing and managing code releases.
  • Familiarity with Numerical Python Libraries: Familiarity with numerical Python libraries, such as Pandas and Numpy.
  • Firm Understanding of Version Control, Testing, and Continuous Integration: A firm understanding of version control, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Understanding and Appreciation for Best Practices: An understanding and appreciation for best practices in software development.
  • Experience Working with SQL Databases and Sqlalchemy: Experience working with SQL databases and Sqlalchemy is desired.
