We are seeking an experienced and inspiring leader to join our team as the Head of Youth Employment. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and lead our youth employment programme, working with local partners and stakeholders to create meaningful long-term outcomes for disadvantaged young people in Blackburn with Darwen.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of our youth employment programme, including programme design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Work with our CEO and Senior Management Team to ensure the programme aligns with our organisational strategy and goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with local partners, schools, and employers to secure funding and resources for the programme.
- Manage a team of delivery staff, providing supervision, training, and development opportunities to ensure the programme is delivered to a high standard.
- Monitor and evaluate programme performance, using data and stakeholder feedback to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Develop and maintain a sustainable funding model for the programme, including income generation strategies and partnerships.
- 3+ years' experience of designing, developing, and managing programmes with multiple workstreams for young people.
- 3+ years' experience of leading, line managing, training, and developing delivery staff.
- Strong background in monitoring performance, using databases/CRM systems, and reporting on outcomes.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding policies and experience managing concerns and implementing procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective external partnerships to achieve organisational aims.
- Excellent organisation and administration skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
