Transport Planner

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual with a passion for transport planning and a desire to work within the recycling industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage drivers and subcontractors remotely to ensure efficient fleet operations.
- Develop and deliver daily fleet schedules by depot to optimize route efficiency.
- Review and analyze work volumes and fleet resource requirements to identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with depot operations management to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Assist with day-to-day operational duties and problem-solving to ensure excellent customer service.
- Provide professional service to ensure orders are fulfilled and customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Report to the Transport Supervisor and Office Managers to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Perform additional duties as required by the Company to support business objectives.
- Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Community.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy to ensure data integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, flexible, and adaptable to work in a fast-paced office environment.
- Works with integrity and confidentiality to maintain trust and respect.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
- Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft package skills, to efficiently manage tasks and data.
- Experience in transport planning, preferably within the recycling industry, to apply knowledge and skills effectively.
- Experience in KPI reporting to analyze performance and identify areas for improvement.
- UK geographical knowledge to understand transport networks and routes.
- Financial knowledge in vehicle and driver costings to optimize fleet operations.
- Knowledge of providing transport freight quotations to ensure accurate pricing and customer satisfaction.
