Job Summary
The London Clinic is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Therapies Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services to patients across various acute inpatient services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with diverse and complex needs as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Manage a defined caseload with supervision and support from the Lead Occupational Therapist.
- Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your work, including patient care.
- Conduct individual assessments, identify care needs, and set patient-centered treatment plans.
- Maximize patient independence and choice through functional activity assessments and treatment.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with international patients.
- Select and conduct standardized cognitive assessment screenings to identify areas affecting functional ability.
- Carry out moving and handling assessments and teach patients and families safe equipment use.
Requirements
- Full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
- Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm.
- NHS Band 6 Equivalent salary.
