Job Summary

Voyage Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Team Manager to join our team. As a Residential Team Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Service and Deputy Manager at our Residential service, and be the point of contact for the rest of the team when the Locality Manager is off site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Planning: You will have overall responsibility for the development and implementation of individuals' support plans, including assessment and relevant risk assessments for new People we support.
  • Individual Support: You will encourage the people you support to take an active role in all aspects of daily living, and ensure the appropriate level of individual care and support is identified.
  • Support Plan Maintenance: You will manage the review and maintenance of all support plans to ensure the ongoing suitability of the support that is being provided.
  • Care and Support: You will assist with individuals' care, including personal care and assisting with bathing in order to maintain a high standard of hygiene where the individual requires this.
  • Community Engagement: You will participate in and assist to plan and arrange individuals' daily outings, holidays or recreational pursuits when required.
  • Communication: You will build working relationships and engage in positive communication with individuals, families, advocates and other professional colleagues to support individuals as required.
  • Documentation: You will record and complete any appropriate documentation in order to ensure that individuals' records, observations, or other documents are accurate and informative.
  • Medication Management: You will ensure that all people we support have up to date medications and MAR charts, in accordance with the company's Administration of Medication Policy.
  • Staff Support: You will maintain compliance and support of staff through coordination and completion of supervision, appraisal and team meetings and spot checks as per Company policy.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Meetings: You will attend, participate and contribute to relevant multi-disciplinary meetings for the people that we support.
  • Auditing: You will ensure High standards of care and support are delivered through pro-active auditing.
  • Team Meetings: You will organise, attend, participate and contribute to team meetings when required to promote communication within the team.
  • Good Governance: You will ensure good governance through participation and completion of the auditing process.
  • Leadership and Management: You will ensure staff teams are supported and managed through good leadership and management paying attention to the completion of supervisions.
  • Training and Development: You will undertake all training (including statutory) relevant to the needs of the service and the people you support.
  • Policies and Procedures: You will ensure all policies and procedures applicable to the service and the company are followed and understood in order to comply with regulations and good practice.
  • Working Hours: You will work shifts and visits on a staffing rota including weekdays, weekends, split shifts, wake nights, sleep-in and bank holidays as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role or relevant experience in the care sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
