Imaging Services Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Radiographer to join our dynamic team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an Imaging Services Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our busy CSI team.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Perform complex radiological examinations in CT and MR, ensuring accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care.
  2. Maintain accurate patient records and radiation records, adhering to statutory requirements.
  3. Take on the role of trauma lead in CT, responding promptly to trauma calls and coordinating efficient workflow.
  4. Engage in ongoing professional development, reflecting on clinical practice and skills to enhance patient care.
  5. Ensure a clean and organized working environment, ready for immediate use.
  6. Set and promote high standards of patient care, monitoring and implementing changes to improve care.
  7. Respect individual patient needs and requirements.
  8. Undertake assigned duties by the management team, commensurate with the post.
  9. Renew registration with the Health Professional Council annually.
  10. Monitor and report equipment faults according to departmental procedure.
  11. Record and report sickness/absence to the Operational Manager as per departmental procedure.
  12. Exhibit high standards of professional behavior at all times.
  13. Hold a BSc Honours in Diagnostic Radiography or the Diploma of the College of Radiographers.
  14. Take responsibility for own mandatory training.
  15. Ensure knowledge is kept up to date with developments and technology.
  16. Actively seek training and educational opportunities.
  17. Maintain an individual CPD portfolio.
  18. Contribute to the training of student radiographers as required.
Person Specification
  • BSc in Radiography or equivalent (DCR)
  • HCPC Registration
  • Post Graduate Certificate Cross Sectional Imaging
Experience
  • Proven interest in Cross Sectional Imaging
  • Experience in CT & MRI scanning
Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact within a multidisciplinary team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Audit
