Our esteemed client, a leading entity in the automotive sector, is seeking a highly skilled Performance Optimization Engineer to join their team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing car performance through simulation, data analysis, and ensuring the vehicle is set up to meet the required specifications for both race and test events.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Race Engineer in all performance and data analysis aspects of car operation.
  2. Perform lap time simulations for pre-event preparation, analysis during events, and post-event correlation/analysis.
  3. Suggest setup changes and options based on simulation and/or track data analysis.
  4. Manage setup sheets/files for car build and simulation purposes.
  5. Monitor telemetry data from both reliability and performance points of view.
  6. Develop necessary data analysis tools to aid in analysis (e.g., Matlab/Simulink/Excel VBA).
Requirements:
  1. Engineering degree.
  2. Experience as a trackside engineer, preferably in Formula 1, as either a Race or Performance Engineer.
  3. Technical background in racing car performance and vehicle dynamics.
  4. Technical background in car/system design, operation, build, and preparation.
