Job Overview

Position: OT Security Officer - Vulnerability/Control Assurance Manager

Location: Scotland (Aberdeen, Perth, Inverness)

Compensation: Up to £83,000

Are you an experienced Control Assurance leader with a background in Operational Technology? This role involves evaluating the effectiveness of security systems, pinpointing vulnerabilities, and ensuring that existing processes and software effectively mitigate risks. You will be part of a prominent, heavily regulated organization enhancing its OT security capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the audit and security assurance program to identify vulnerabilities within current controls, including monitoring security device configurations and assessing identity and access management processes.
  • Develop standards and processes to evaluate security controls across the Operational Technology landscape.
  • Oversee the auditing of the supply chain to ensure that security requirements are integrated into contracts and fulfilled.
  • Document, track, and report vulnerabilities in accordance with established service level agreements.
  • Engage external resources for independent control reviews and audits, including maturity assessments and penetration testing.

Essential Skills:

  • Familiarity with the NSCS Cyber Assessment Framework (CAS) for conducting control and maturity assessments.
  • Knowledge of control frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISF/IEC62443.
  • Experience in Operational Technology within a large, regulated utility environment.
  • Proven ability to implement security controls in an OT setting.
  • Experience in developing new tools, processes, and training to enhance team maturity.
