Position Overview

A prominent construction firm is seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Technician to become part of their team during a period of significant expansion.

Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of the Mobile Plant Technician includes:

  • Performing maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment as instructed by the Plant Manager, focusing on troubleshooting and preventive strategies.

This role involves working with various equipment, including excavators up to 35 tonnes, dumpers, rollers, small tools, and other related construction machinery. Responsibilities will also encompass addressing AdBlue issues, as well as electrical, hydraulic, and engine malfunctions across a diverse range of equipment.

Essential Duties
  • Execute scheduled and preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting of all plant machinery.
  • Report any damage or misuse of company assets to the Plant Service Coordinator, ensuring photographic evidence is collected for internal records.
  • Carry out all maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with industry and manufacturer standards, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to risk assessments and method statements for all operational activities.
  • Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized during all work tasks, as outlined in the risk assessments.
  • Candidates should possess a City & Guilds/NVQ qualification in Mechanics or have relevant experience in the field of plant maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in maintaining a fleet of construction machinery is essential.
