Behavioural Support Role

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant with exceptional skills in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques to join our team in a behavioural support role.

About the Role

This is a full-time position to the end of the academic year, working with selected pupils outside of the classroom situation, including those excluded from or not working to a normal timetable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop 1:1 mentoring arrangements with pupils to help them agree on plans and targets to move forward.
  • Provide information and advice to enable pupils to make choices about their own learning, behaviour, and attendance.
  • Support pupils to enhance their emotional health and well-being (EHWB).
  • Help pupils to follow individual Education Plans where appropriate.
  • Assist in organising and running small group interventions such as circle time.
  • Challenge and motivate pupils and promote and reinforce self-esteem.
  • Liaise with parents and carers as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Professional references checks.
  • CV with a full employment and education history included, with any employment breaks explained.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
What We Offer

A competitive pay rate of £84 to £95 per day, depending on experience.
