We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Thorlabs. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections of components and assemblies to ensure compliance with dimensional and visual specifications.
- Operate manual measuring equipment and provide measurement services to support quality control activities.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inspection and quality control processes.
- Liaise with production team leaders to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Escalate repeated quality process-related concerns to the Quality Engineering team for root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external RMA and Quality teams to ensure compliance of products.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as raising NCRs, Corrective Actions reports, and logging faults.
- Assist with stock control in the RMA and Q1 warehouses, process RMA sales orders, and support product recalls.
- Good understanding of metrology and measurement principles.
- Previous experience with manual measuring equipment and software.
- Detail-oriented with ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, time manage, and work independently.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
- Adhering to core values and driven positive attitude.
- Ability to take initiatives and participate in continuous improvement activities.
