About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Gardener to join our team at Antony, a beautiful National Trust property in Cornwall. As a key member of our garden team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of horticulture and ensuring the garden is safe and enjoyable for visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily checks to ensure the garden is safe for visitors
  • Carry out routine tasks such as weeding, pruning, and mulching
  • Operate machinery such as hedge cutters, leaf blowers, lawnmowers, and tractors
  • Assist with propagation, cutting flowers for the house, and preparing plants for sale
  • Contribute to garden design and restoration projects
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic horticulturist with experience in hard landscaping
  • Knowledgeable about plants and able to identify potential issues
  • Skilled in the use of machinery, including tractors and chainsaws
  • Full driving license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
