Job Title: Band 7 Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Private Patient Unit (PPU) at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a highly specialised Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based therapy services to patients with complex needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Occupational Therapist to work in a dynamic and innovative environment. You will be part of a multi-professional therapy team, working closely with Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants, and a Dietitian to provide comprehensive care to patients.

As a Band 7 Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a highly specialist therapy service, providing expert advice and guidance to other healthcare professionals. You will also be responsible for clinical supervision of one or more therapists and participating in research and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist, evidence-based therapy services to patients with complex needs
  • Lead the development and implementation of a highly specialist therapy service
  • Provide clinical supervision to one or more therapists
  • Participate in research and development initiatives
  • Lead on complex discharge planning
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registration in OT
  • Completed relevant post-registration specialist courses
  • Member of Specialist OT Section group
