Job Summary:

Sharp Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to join a successful Financial Services business in Leeds. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the business, driving financial performance, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intercompany reconciliations and review of accounting entries to ensure accuracy and robustness.
  • Analysis of central cost spend and identification of areas for cost reduction.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reports and financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Liaison with Treasury, AP, and AR teams to ensure timely payments and accurate allocation.
  • Support with internal and external audits to provide timely and informative data.
  • Compliance with internal controls and policies, including tax planning and sign-off procedures.
  • Escalation of issues to the Lead Financial Controller and provision of advisory support to Assistant Management Accountants.
  • Collaboration with other departments to provide financial support and insights.
  • Development of business cases for new projects and initiatives.
  • Training and support for non-financial managers on financial issues.
  • Evaluation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
  • Alignment with Lead Controllers and Management Accounts teams to implement best practices.
  • Support for the implementation of new technologies to streamline financial operations.
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy across financial systems.

Requirements:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with strong experience in the finance function.
  • Excellent Excel skills and ability to adapt to new projects.
